Kia ora, Hola, Hello, Halo,
My name is Karl. I am an ocean lover.
I’ve been diving for nearly 14 years. From the moment my mate finally got me into the water for a DSD I was hooked.
Since then I’ve been lucky enough to chalk up dives in some of the most wonderful places; Egypt, Mexico, Belize, Cuba, Thailand, Fiji to name a few, 17 countries in all. But Indonesia will always be my favourite. From Sulawesi to Ambon, Alor to Komodo, BauBau to Bali, Indonesia has gifted me amazing experiences above and below the water.
As I’ve dived I’ve learned and grown. From OW to AOW, from EANx to Rescue Diver, from Dive Master to Instructor, From Fun Diver to Videographer, and now I am embracing Photography. I’ve also just completed a BSc in Marine Science and Coastal Management and am about to pursue further study.
I have been inspired and mentored by friends, divers, photographers, ocean lovers. My thanks. May I inspire you to take interest, to learn, and care for this amazing thing that is the marine world.
It’s the macro world, that has most captured my interest and my eye, and that I share with you. Enjoy.
